The holder mentality has led me to:
∘ Round trip six figures when I have 0 business doing so
∘ Not sell on the pumps because 'its not at ATH'
∘ Hold because i've seen the trade at a bigger pnl
∘ Think every trade is the 'make it trade' so take 0 profit
∘ Have arbitrary targets i.e. stacking 100 sol when the real target is stacking USDC
But its time for change. Ive sold 90% of my memes (regret not selling the other 10%) and have set up a new wallet purely for growing my usdc port
Selling is the hardest part but to make it you have no other choice
Its adapt or die
The hardest skill in crypto isn’t buying early, it’s knowing when to sell.
This is my 3rd cycle, I’ve watched six-figure wins vanish because I got greedy. I’ve held through the 'just one more pump' phase until there were none left.
I used to think profit taking meant weakness. Now I know it’s the strongest move a trader can make.
I’ve round-tripped life changing trades, felt like a genius one day, watched it all bleed back the next. That pain taught me what no bull market ever could: paper profits mean nothing until they’re realised.
So this cycle, I changed: No chasing tops. No fantasy hopium exit targets. I scale out into strength and move on. Some plays kept running, but I locked in peace of mind, not unrealistic up only dreams.
If you’re scared to sell, ask yourself this: What’s the point of making money if you never actually take it?
Profit > Paper.
Survival > Perfection.
Freedom > FOMO.
Take the win. You’ll never regret that.
